Vanessa Hudgens got a big surprise Monday night - a group of about 100 friends gathered at East Restaurant & Lounge in Hollywood to celebrate her 21th birthday. She arrived with beau Zac Efron in a chauffeured Audi Q7, and "when she walked in was completely surprised!" says a guest at the party. Efron gave a heartfelt speech wishing her a very happy birthday and encouraging guests to have a fun night. Hudgen's red velvet birthday cake was presented to her about an hour into the party.

Courtney Love Loses Legal Guardianship of Daughter

Courtney Love, 45, has lost temporary legal control of her teenage daughter Frances Bean Cobain, 17. According to court documents, her daughter with the late Kurt Cobain has been placed under the care of the Nirvana star's mum, Wendy O'Connor, and the tragic rocker's sister, Kimberly Dawn Cobain. On Friday Dec. 11, a court appointed Wendy O'Connor and Kimberly Dawn Cobain as the girl's legal guardians. However, the pair has no authority to touch the Frances Bean Cobain Irrevocable Trust of 1997, which was set up to help provide for the girl after Cobain's death. Cobain was found dead in his Seattle, Washington home in 1994, aged 27, and his passing was officially ruled a suicide from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Kourtney Kardashian Welcomes a Baby Boy!

Kourtney Kardashian, 30, and her on-again boyfriend of two years, Scott Disick, 26, have welcomed a baby boy. Mason Dash Disick who weighed 7 lbs., 6 oz., and 19.5 inches was born Monday morning in Los Angeles. Kardashian and Disick have been looking forward to being parents ever since announcing they were expecting in August. Congrats to them!

Brangelina Met Muhammad Ali

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt met boxing legend Muhammad Ali at a charity event. They were present at the UNICEF charity ball at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Agelina apparently stroked the boxer's tuxedo-clad chest and pecked him on the cheek. The event awarded individuals who made key contributions to UNICEF's mission to improve children's lives. George Clooney, Matt Damon, Joan Collins and Cindy Crawford were the other stars present in the ceremony.

Joe McElderry, 18, won the sixth series of popular TV show The X Factor on Sunday, and is widely tipped to top the Christmas charts with his debut single, a cover of American Miley Cyrus's The Climb. McElderry beats rival finalist Olly Murs, 25, to secure the X Factor crown and a lucrative recording contract. The pair, who beat 200,000 other applicants to reach the final show, received more than 10 million votes between them. Both also performed the winner's single in a final bid to win over the public vote, before joining the other 10 finalist acts to sing with former Beatle Paul McCartney. After the result was announced McElderry jumped up and down screaming as he hugged his mentor, Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole.

Lindsay Lohan is said to have found a new man, Gucci model Adam Senn. Senn, who is a partial owner of Chelsea eatery Il Bastardo, had met Lohan, 23, during the Fashion Week in NYC. "They really hit it off," says the source. "The last time Lindsay was in town, Adam shut down the restaurant early so they could be alone. He invited some friends to the restaurant later in the evening and everyone got pretty wild. He thinks Lindsay is a fun girl." Senn, meanwhile, was portrayed as quite the playboy during his stint on The City. The hunk dated model Allie Crandell but had wandering eyes - even while the cameras were rolling - when his lady love was out of town.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been secretly funding seven children in an orphanage in middle-eastern country Jordan for the past six years, it has emerged. Rumors of the couple adopting another child had sparked last month when they were spotted visiting the SOS Children's Village in the country's capital city of Amman. Now, SOS employee Aysha Shahin has revealed Angie may buy a house for the children to stay.

Bridget Sends Best Wishes to New Baby Brady

Bridget Moynahan sent out good wishes to her ex and his supermodel spouse Gisele Bundchen, who welcomed a son. Bundchen gave birth to the tot on Tuesday night (09.12.09) and Brady confesses they has yet to pick a name. "I wish them the best with their baby and I'm sure my son will enjoy having a half-sibling," Moynahan told the New York Daily News. Bridget hasn't been Gisele's biggest fan since the Brady dumped her for the Brazilian glamazon, leaving her alone and pregnant.

Fergie, 34, says she and husband Josh Duhamel want to start a family when she finishes touring in April. She wants to get pregnant next year. She said: 'Am I getting broody? Oh, definitely! But I want to finish this tour first before trying to start a family. We're never going to be at this time of our lives again so we have to make the most of it.' She claims the secret to a successful marriage is keeping the relationship 'fun'. The Black Eyed Peas are currently on their The E.N.D. World Tour, which is due to end on in Canada on April 11.

It is happy news for Hogan (nee Terry Bollea), who had been engaged in a bitter divorce battle with his ex-wife, Linda, for nearly two years. Linda, who wed Hulk in 1983, filed for divorce in November 2007. The split grew increasingly ugly a short time later when Linda publicly began dating Charlie Hill who was one of their daughter Brooke's former classmates. But in July, they settled their divorce. Sacha Baron Cohen Sued For £70m in Libel Damages

A Palestinian peace activist has dragged British funnyman Sacha Baron Cohen to court claiming 70 million pounds in a libel suit over his portrayal in the flick Bruno. A scene in Bruno shows Cohen's character claiming to have travelled to the Ein El-Hilweh refugee camp in Lebanon to meet a leader of the Al-Aqsa Brigades. A caption labels Abu Aita as "Terrorist group leader, Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade". Ayman Abu Aita, a grocer and activist from Bethlehem says the movie has destroyed his life. He claims that his life has been threatened since the movie's release and adds that he does not support terrorism. Aita says he met Cohen believing he was a German making a film about the Palestinian cause.

Rihanna, 21, will be seen getting down and dirty in her new music video Hard. She portrayed as Ri-I Joe wears a chain of machinegun ammo and a Mickey Mouse helmet. The video will also see her roll around in the mud. And in an exclusive interview with the News of the World, she admits she's toughened up recently. She said: "I've absolutely got more aggressive. The game of love can be terrifying."

Tobey Maguire says he had to shed a whopping 20 pounds in five weeks to play a kidnapped marine soldier in the new movie Brothers. Jennifer Aniston is so impressed by her yoga instructor Mandy Ingber that she is launching a DVD for her. She has jetted back from her Moroccan break to host a party for Ingber's DVD Yogalosophy at the Sunset Towers hotel in LA on Thursday. She has even filmed a personal introduction for the video. The DVD is inspired by a yoga feature that Aniston and Ingber did for Self magazine in 2006. Guests that are expected for the launch include Aniston's best friend, Courtney Cox, and Self Editor-in-Chief Lucy Danziger.

Britney Spears Spends 28th Birthday With Beau And Kids

Britney Spears celebrated her 28th birthday on Wednesday with boyfriend Jason Trawick, 37, and sons Preston and Jayden. They started the celebration a day early Tuesday night at L.A.'s Mondrian hotel, where Spears also enjoyed spa services. That night, the couple went to the Sunset strip, visiting both the Saddleback Ranch restaurant and Chateau Marmont. The next day, they shopped at West Hollywood's Fred Segal boutique before reuniting with the pop star's sons Preston, 3, and Jayden, 2, at her home in Calabasas.
